Asheville Community Theatre
Asheville Community Theatre (ACT) is an active, non-profit theater group in Asheville, North Carolina. Dedicated to promoting the arts through live performance and education, ACT provides educational opportunities in performing arts by offering classes from acting to technical theatre.

Asheville Museum of Science
The Asheville Museum of Science (AMS) is a museum and planetarium located in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. The community is rich in art and science. The museum was founded in 1901 as the State Museum of Natural Sciences.
In 1991, the name was changed to the Asheville Museum of Science when it merged with the Buncombe County Junior Museum.
AMS provides programs that educate visitors on topics from astronomy to zoology. The museum's goal is to encourage curiosity about science and promote its appreciation among the community.

Asheville Municipal Golf Course
The Asheville Municipal Golf Course is carved out of hilly terrain and features undulating greens and fairways. The course has seen its share of changes with sculptured bunkers and small greens that aren't always receptive to errant shots.
As the oldest municipal golf course in America, it has played host to major professional tournaments including the 2016 U.S. Women's Open and 2017 U.S. Senior Open Championship held at Nellis Country Club.
The Asheville Municipal Golf Course is home to an array of local events such as the annual Asheville City Amateur Tournament and the Foothills Charity Classic Pro.
Whether you are an avid golfer or just learning the game, you’ll surely have a great time out on the course. Asheville Municipal Golf Course also offers lessons from a PGA pro shop, as well as equipment rentals.
The course was designed by architect Donald Ross and opened in 1927. The layout has several water features and offers views of the Blue Ridge Mountains at every turn.
It has been the home of the City of Asheville's municipal golf program since that day. The course was completely renovated in 2011.
